D’Angelo Is “The Second Coming” During His New U.S. Tour

For the past couple of years, D’Angelo has been kind of a “mythological being” in the music industry, whereas he was there, and then he wasn’t. He dominated R&B music in the early 2000’s until he disappeared off the grid, to never be heard of, or seen again. That was until he dropped his surprise album “Black Messiah” in December of 2014 to critical acclaim, and then he somewhat disappeared again, by doing limited promotion for the album and very few public appearances.

Well all of D’Angelo’s U.S. “d’sciples” should be jumping out of their chairs and running around screaming, as he has just announced his first headlining tour since his “Voodoo World Tour” back in 2002. The new tour, which has been labeled “The Second Coming” Tour kicks off in Oakland on June 7th before heading to all major markets, and is on the heels of a European tour that he just completed.
