Tweet Returns To The Howard Theatre May 29th

The “Southern Hummingbird” Charlene Keys, better known as, Tweet, has been a musical presence that the industry has been missing for quite some time. Since she stepped into musical prominence in 2002 with her hit single “Oops (Oh My)”, she was able to give women all over a voice about a subject that was pretty much a hush hush topic, self gratification. Around the same time that she was promoting her debut album entitled “Southern Hummingbird”.  Tweet recorded vocals for Missy Elliot, Ja Rule, Bubba Sparx, Timbaland and others. After the release of one more studio album, an EP, and breaking away from Missy’s camp, she seemed to go incognito…that was until now.

In January of 2015, Tweet revealed she had signed to a major label and would once again be working with Timbaland and Missy Elliot on her third studio album. Along with her album, she seems to already be jumping into the water and getting a head start by planning a pre-album tour so to speak. After many failed attempts to bring her to the District to show who she is, and what people have been missing these past couple of years, we finally have her! Brought to you by the production company LSS Universal, ‘Presenting Tweet Live at The Howard Theatre‘ will be an event that will bridge the gap between old fans and new fans that we’re sure she is to acquire after her live set. Supporting her for this show will be hometown artist and contestant from The Voice, Orlando Dixon and Shaun Mykals.

The show is set to take place on May 29, 2015 at the legendary Howard Theatre in Northwest Washington D.C. at 8pm. Tickets are currently on sale NOW for the price of $25.50 from LSS Universal.
