A stunning sight to see with an incredible soothing voice. Tweet ‘the singer’ came to the Howard Theatre and vocally slayed. Laying down each effortless phrase with a fresh vibe, it was obvious to tell that the stage was in her total control! As fans gathered around and the temperature rose, we all knew to expect greatness… but to stand in the crowd and experience Tweet live, is a monumental feeling that takes over the movement of your body, making you sway back and forth as her southern hummingbird melodies hit you and constantly hypnotize you! She will have you proudly singing away your voice whether you can sing or not while loosing yourself in the warmth of the music. Tweet is the real thing and a true authentic artist. With this Singer/Songwriter, there is no denying the feeling that every word is meant and expressed from real experiences.

Her entire performance at the Howard Theatre that was produced by LSS Universal, was served just right and left us all musically fulfilled. She began her set with “Make Your Move” and the show naturally took off from there with awesome performances of: “My Place”, “Smoking Cigarettes”, “Always Will”, and “Heaven”. Then, on her song “Turn Da Lights Off”, as we were all jamming to her, the amazing band (Smiles, Rickey, Demetrius & Beau) and backing vocalists (Stephanie, Trice & Sukey), she ended up giving an opportunity to some DMV talent by allowing them to take the mic and sing their hearts out. By her doing that, it showed a burning desire to support and appreciate the grind of artists trying to reach similar accomplishments and success that she has and will continue to experience.

[This was not the first time Tweet had given opportunity this night. Her show actually opened with us all being serenaded by two amazing male vocalist Shaun Mykals and Orlando Dixon, both right here from the DMV. Each individually an Opening Act, (which is one of the highest compliments you can experience as a rising artist) both clearly presented themselves with exquisite vocal ability, style and of course great music. They are two artist to definitely follow and support, as they are destined for worldwide greatness.]

So by this point, everyone’s energy levels were highly increased in excitement as we pondered what could be next. To our pure satisfaction, Tweet captured us with: “Motel”, “Enough”, “I’m Done”, “Beautiful”, “Taxi”, a surprise sneak preview of her unreleased new song “Magic”, “Boogie 2nite”, “Call Me”, and an ending that the DMV crowd went wild on, as she incorporated a few different styles of music but most significantly, GOGO Music, while performing her hit song “Oops”.

There are so many great things happening for Tweet. She has signed to a new label, is hitting major cities with epic performances and most importantly, she is currently working on her highly anticipated exciting new album, that she shared would be available this year! So, as we all await the new brilliance, let us hold on to the unique connection she creates with her fan base and support the fact that Tweet is simply magical.
