Another day, another new music festival. Granted we love live festivals for all they’re worth, it seems like by the end of the decade there will be enough music festivals to take place on every day of the calendar year. With that said, lets add another one to the list, the newly announced FOLD (which stands for FreakOutLet’sDance) Festival.
Helmed by the front man of funk group Chic, Nile Rodgers, he decided to invite some of his friends along for the inaugural festival. Beck, Janelle Monáe, Duran Duran, Pharrell Williams, Keith Urban, Chaka Khan, Q-Tip, Eric B and more will take the stage on August 4th & 5th in Riverhead, NY at the Martha Clara Vineyards from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. each day including a children’s festival time slot from 9 a.m. to midday. With the first group of performers already on tap, Rodgers has given us hope that there will be another round coming up, which will make this bill even more exciting.
