Welcome to Wednesday folks, and certainly a hump day it is. Janet Jackson‘s Unbreakable World Tour started off to an extremely promising start. We here at Concert Daily had the opportunity to go to her opening night show in Vancouver (and now we’re happy that we did) and she knocked it out of the park! She gave us everything that we had been wanting and expecting from a Janet show and did not disappoint. Sadly to say, she’s just given what can be considered (to some fans) as disappointing news, but exciting news to others.
In a video message via her Twitter account, the pop icon thanked her fans for their loyalty and support with coming out to the Unbreakable Tour, but will have to “delay” the tour because she and her husband are planning to start a family. In a quote made in the video
On August 31st as you probably know, I launched the Unbreakable World tour. First I want to thank all of the fans for coming out and seeing the show.Thank you so much, You guys made it so enjoyable for me each and every night. We are in the 2nd leg of the tour and there actually there has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you’d be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour. Please if you can try and understand that it’s important that I do this now, I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you, I will continue the tour as soon as I possible can.
This means that Janet Jackson will be a mother sometime soon yal!
We are sure that the entire Jackson clan will be elated to share in the happiness of this news. The only thing that we would like to point out is this “delay” that she speaks of. As of lately, the Doesn’t Really Matter singer has been plagued with a few touring problems, dating back to the ill fated ‘Rock Witchu‘ tour in 2008, where she was going to “postpone” some shows due to an alleged bout with vertigo, but ended up cancelling them and the rest of the tour all together. Most recently she started rescheduling shows at the end of 2015 because of the surgery that she had, pushed back the European leg of the Unbreakable jaunt, and then ultimately cancelled that too. It honestly pains us to see one of our favorite performs do this, but I guess it is what it is. She mentions that she will finish the tour when she can, but can that really be trusted at this point? If anyone doesn’t want to wait, you can get the refund for your tickets from the point of purchase.
