Oooh Ms. Lauryn Hill, we are absolutely fans of your back catalog of music and are rooting for you to get back to your Miseducation days, but can you really tell us what’s going on?
There have been some troubling times over the years in your life, and we totally understand, but why are you letting that deface the legacy that you have created? You disappeared from the limelight for many years, then resurfaced and everyone was excited because you promised to tour. We all were going to get our chance to hear those classic songs that you created with such passion in the 90’s for the first time in a LONG time. That was until you decided to remix every one of your songs to the point that they were unrecognizable.
We kind of got over that because it’s art, and we get it, but then you started showing up to shows late, not just late, but REAL late. There have been some shows where it was reported that you made people wait in an excess of up to 4 hours before you came out …FOUR HOURS THOUGH?! Recent times have shown you continuing your tardiness, with most recently being 2 hours late arrival at your Atlanta, GA concert that you put on last week. We see that you apologized for it, but do you really mean what you say?
But NOW, you go ahead and cancel your planned Baltimore concert at Rams Head Live! that was scheduled for May 12th for “unforeseeable circumstances”; was that also because your energy hasn’t aligned with performing in Baltimore? I really hope that’s not the case, because your show is still two days away, there’s a WHOLE LOT of space and time for “energy” to be shifted between now and then. Granted refunds for the tickets are available at the point of purchase, your fans in Charm City were looking forward to seeing you. Once again, we’ll ask the question, what’s really good? Especially since you’re still on to perform in Richmond, VA tonight.
We hope that you’ll be able to get yourself together before it’s too late and people just totally jump ship on you, because you have a lot to offer.
For those who have never been to a L.Boogie show, here’s what you can expect.
