Well well well, it seems as if the 2017 Coachella Music Festival is fully stacked this year. The annual festival which literally takes place in the middle of the desert doesn’t need ANY help with keeping things hot, as the dry heat usually takes care of that, but this year will be a scorcher with the help of some pretty hot artist.
Taking on the task of headlining the two weekend festival are the Queen Bey herself, Beyoncé, along with Kendrick Lamar and Radiohead. As we know, the internets today are a savage place when it comes to finding out information, and for some time now, there have been some rumors and hype around Beyoncé actually taking a crack at performing, and they seemed to have proven to be true. This will also be K.Dot’s first time headlining the infamous fest.
The festival takes place April 14-16 and April 21-23 in Indio, Calif, and it looks pretty evident that they have upped the ante in comparison to past years. The remaining lineup is packed full of music from all genres, so you won’t be skimped out on any musical greatness at all.
If you’re interested in snagging some passes, you HAVE to act fast as these are an extremely hot ticket item, but they won’t be cheap. The baseline ticket will be the 3-day general admission pass, which starts at $399, but if you want to feel extra special, you can cop a VIP pass for $899. Tickets for both weekends go on sale Wednesday, January 4th at 8 AM EST via Coachella’s official site.

Well look at this, we have a new music festival of sorts folks.
The people over at Complex magazine are making a major move by curating their own convention to represent popular culture in all facets of entertainment. The inaugural ComplexCon will be held November 5 & 6 at the Long Beach Convention Center.
“ComplexCon is an expertly curated convention and festival that brings the world of Complex to life. This is our generation’s World Fair. The minds behind Complex have come together with a Host Committee that includes legendary artist Takashi Murakami, award-winning producer Skrillex and our Cultural Director/Executive Chair Pharrell Williams to imagine a place where creators, curators and YOU converge to celebrate and shape our culture.”
It’s good to see that this will be a well rounded event, because many times cons will just feature exhibitors and panels where guest speak on a specific topic, leaving little to no room for live entertainment, but being that Complex is a music magazine, how dare they think to leave that out?
Kanye West, Skrillex, Kid Cudi, and Travis Scott all lead the pack as the evening/headline performers, while the day activities will see many other artist take the stage.
Ticket prices run between $45-$450, and are currently on sale via the ComplexCon website.
After months of having to deal with what seemed like an extended, and unwanted Winter season, we are getting a few weeks of Spring before we flip over to the Summer months.
It’s that time again to get ready for the Hip Hop party of the summer! No Summer is set on the West Coast without the footprint of the annual PowerHouse concert.
Los Angeles radio station Power 106 has leaked the first set of performers to take the stage at the #PowerhouseLA on June 3rd at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. Every year we get a fully packed show, and this year will be no different.
For a powerful lineup, we’ll see Big Sean, Chance The Rapper, YG, Yo Gotti and the return of Fat Joe and Remy Ma. Of course these aren’t the only performers who will kill the stage that night, we’ll have to wait and see what else is up the sleeve of the radio execs because second artist announcement is coming April 25 and a third reveal is arriving on May 5.

On August 30th, Kanye West was just awarded on of the most coveted MTV Video Music Awards, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. This same date also marked 10 years since he released his classic album “Late Registration”.
We all know that Kanye is not one to sit still for long and usually has something up his sleeve, and we’ve just learned of one of his next moves. The news has broke that Los Angeles will get a special ‘one off’ by Mr. West performing his 2008 album “808s & Heartbreak” in it’s entirety at the Hollywood Bowl on September 25th. Nobody is exactly sure what prompted such a surprise show, but we’re not knocking it at all.
Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public September 4, 2015 via Ticketmaster with prices ranging from $39.50 – $350.
