LA’s Real 92.3 has been EXTREMELY busy on the front of providing it’s listeners with a lot of options for premium live entertainment as of lately.

They recently had a big radio show called “The REAL Show” that featured Kendrick Lamar and a guest spot by Drake.

It was recently announced that they will be holding their first birthday bash style concert to celebrate their station. Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Fetty Wap, Meek Mill, DJ Khaled, Omarion, and O.T. Genasis will be the artists performing at the show which takes place February 28th at The Forum in Los Angeles, California.

Presales for the tickets started today with the password REAL, while tickets officially go on sale to the public tomorrow, December 8th via Ticketmaster.

Philly’s Power 99 Powerhouse 2015 Announces Kendrick Lamar As Headliner

Certainly ’tis the season to be powered up, as mostly all radio stations that are a part of the “Power” family are gearing up for their Powerhouse concert festivities.

We’ve heard from the other stations from around the country, but now it’s Philadelphia’s Power 99 to put on for the city. In announcement made earlier today, they have let the cat out of the bag for Powerhouse 2015 to take place on Friday, October 23rd at the Wells Fargo Center.

Leading the pack in the lineup of a mostly rap/hip-hop show this year, is none other than Kendrick Lamar, along with Philly’s own Meek Mill, Big Sean, Future, Fetty Wap, Jeremih, Omarion, Migos, Jidenna and Rae Sremmurd.

Ticket presales start on Friday, September 11th for a Power 99 exclusive presale at 10am. If you don’t have the password for that presale, don’t be too alarmed because general public tickets are available the next morning, September 12th at 10am as well. Grab them while you can because we can guarantee this will be a sell out show!

2015 Essence Music Festival: Sunday Rewind

3emflogo

We are in the final stretch; this was the LAST DAY of the 2015 Essence Music Festival. Our day started out again over at the Convention Center. Since today was Sunday, and as always at EMF, there were more events geared to the spiritual aspect of things. The Essence Fest attendees get taken to church from well known pastors and musical selections from the country’s top Gospel and Christian artists. This year saw the incomparable Kim Burrell as the honoree of the yearly gospel tribute. This was a totally free show for people, and included special performances by Smokie Norful, Yolanda Adams, Jonathan McReynolds and more. The Spirit filled the place as you could see people being moved as they waved their hands and began to tear up. Even Ms. Burrell got hit by The Spirit as she jumped out of her seat and grabbed a mic and proceeded to sing. She had a couple of her celebrity friends (India.Arie, Chrisette Michelle, Anita Wilson and Lalah Hathaway) to join her in song.

Over at the Verizon booth, Omarion was chatting it up with Terrance J about how it feels to be back on the top of the charts and describing his excitement for his performance at the Superdome that night. He also had the opportunity to meet his legion of fans and take pictures with each and every one of them.

The McDonald’s booth was again the hot spot for R&B live performances, when 112 took the stage. It certainly felt like the late 1990’s all over again seeing them move, groove and sing to all of the songs that we knew the words to.
